Redevelopment Agency
PUBLIC NOTICE
The Redevelopment Agency scheduled meeting for Thursday March 12 2026 has been cancelled.
The Redevelopment Agency, established in 2002, operates under the Local Redevelopment and Housing Law (N.J.S.A. 40A:12A-1 et seq.). As an autonomous body, its mission is to ensure responsible development and reinvestment in residential, commercial, and industrial real estate across all neighborhoods in Passaic.
The Agency primarily reviews the conceptual plans submitted by property owners for redevelopment, collaborating with them to ensure cohesive, complementary, and consistent revitalization efforts throughout the city. Additionally, the Agency formally designates applicants as the redevelopers of their properties.
Created with the goal of revitalizing underutilized, deteriorated, and aging properties, the Redevelopment Agency plays a pivotal role in the city's growth and transformation.
