The Passaic Fire Department protects life and property through fire suppression, rescue operations, emergency medical response, and fire prevention, responding around the clock to emergencies and hazardous conditions across the city.Under the leadership of Fire Chief Patrick Trentacost Sr. and Deputy Chief Robert Munier, the department emphasizes readiness, training, and prevention to keep the Passaic community safe.

Passaic Police Department


The Passaic Police Department is responsible for maintaining public safety through patrol services, investigations, traffic enforcement, and community-based initiatives, including dedicated safety and patrol coverage within the City’s Urban Enterprise Zone (UEZ) commercial districts.
Under the leadership of Police Chief Louis Guzman, with Deputy Chiefs Luis Gentile and Jonathan Schaer, the department focuses on crime prevention, response, and coordination with residents, businesses, and partner agencies.
