Passaic, N.J. – Mayor Hector C. Lora worked with Team Passaic to hold a free We Love Passaic! Event for the City of Passaic and its neighbor communities on Thursday February 16, 2023. The doors to Fiesta Night Club, where the City of Passaic’s 150th Year Anniversary celebration took place, opened at 8pm. Mayor Lora honored Alex Sensation with the 2023 Most Distinguished Person of the Year Award for his accomplishments and progressive leadership on behalf of the City of Passaic. “This year Passaic turns 150 years old. I am naming Alex Sensation as our Most Distinguished Person of the year. Why the key? Because you have opened up doors for so many people to see that when you have talent, you’re hard working, you’re committed, and you put god first, amazing things will occur!” Announced Mayor Lora. .
Javier Alexander Salazar or better known as DJ Alex Sensation is an award winning radio DJ, recording artist, musical tastemaker, social media influencer and more. He is one of the most popular radio DJ’s in the United States and works at the famous radio station Latino FM La Mega 97.9. Alex Sensation immigrated with his family from Bogotá, Colombia to the City of Passaic at a young age, where he grew up. He graduated from Passaic Schools in 1996.
