The City of Passaic seeks a skilled and detailed oriented administrative professional to serve as a full-time Assessing Aide to the Tax Assessor. Under direction, independently conducts physical inspections of properties and buildings in the field; gathers and compiles information to be of use to the Assessor; does related work as required.
The ideal candidate is strong in time management, has excellent organizational, communication, customer service and writing skills.
Applicant must possess a valid NJ Driver’s License and have a minimum of one (1) year of experience in field investigations, which shall have included gathering of significant data.
Proficiency in computer use and ability to learn to utilize various types of electronic and/or manual recording and information systems used by the Assessor’s office. Ability to maintain suitable records and files.
Knowledge of Edmunds, MCS-J and Spatial Data Logic (SDL) preferred.
Hourly Rate: $17.92- Work Schedule: 24 hours per week
